Rukmini conceptualized and launched Kakshaa as an effort to make quality education accessible and affordable for all. She is an Economist from the London School of Economics and a former investment banker from Citigroup London.
As academic director, Rajeshwari is responsible for putting the best team together and overseeing the curriculum development aspect of Kakshaa. She is a leading educationist and a trained specialist in Child Psychology. She is the founder of a K-12 school for normal as well as specially abled children under the name of Shaishav.
Head of Academics
Dr Mohite (PHD in classroom instruction & Masters in Child Development) is responsible for overseeing the content development at Kakshaa. Having been the dean of the Faculty of Family and Community Sciences, M.S. University Baroda and a Director on the UNICEF project for Early Child Development, she has immense expertise that allows us to ensure high quality and age appropriate standards.
Swati is a science enthusiast and thrives on creating interesting science experiments, activities and games for children. She has worked on several government projects that include research, building learner centered teaching aids and conducting teacher training workshops.
Hema is a child development specialist and has previously worked as a coordinator for major state level government programs such as designing programs for multi-age, multi-ability children from slum areas. Her experience ranges across the spectrum from teaching to research to developing ECCE materials and content for children.
Manjiri has been a teacher of Mathematics for over 15 years. She is masterful at making unique teaching aids, designing games and activities and was responsible for the Mathematics curriculum for Kakshaa.
Nirja is responsible for building partnerships with schools, teachers and students alike. She is an economist from the University of Nottingham, UK and has an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. She has over 8 years of work experience with multinational organizations like KPMG and Technoserve where she worked extensively on developing capacity-building training programs for entrepreneurs across India.
Abdul is a software and hardware specialist with wide experience in setting up, commissioning and maintaining ICT projects for companies and schools. He is in charge of identifying the optimal hardware solutions, ensuring smooth installation, commissioning and maintenance of the Hardware that is used to run the Kakshaa program.
Gautam Nair (Yale University, U.S.A) has played a key role in devising our marketing and branding strategy. Under him we have been able to scale up our program and take it to a wider audience through our online offerings.
Nirav Shah (Indian school of Business, Hyderabad) has been instrumental in overseeing the finance and fund-raising aspects of our program. His expertise in accounts and Management have helped us grow steadily and prudently.
Dr Chaturvedi has been working with the government of Madhya Pradesh since 1995. He has been closely involved in curriculum development, textbook writing, teacher training for the education department and was responsible for the development of the Mathematics curriculum for Kakshaa.
Dr Upadhyay is a resource person for SCERT Madhya Pradesh and has been responsible for textbook writing for STD 1-12 for the education department of Madhya Pradesh. He has also been involved in teacher training and was instrumental in the curriculum development of the subject Hindi for Kakshaa.
